I have been volunteering in my kids elementary school. I have been really learning a lot about the politics of public schools. I can tell you what I have learned really pisses me off ! For instance, the school my kids go to has a high majority low income needy families and we have no school counselor. Yet, the schools that have parental involvement and have a lot of high income families have school counselors. Some more than one counselor. Our superintendant needed a raise of $26,000 yet, there is no money for a school counselor. Oh I take that back we have one counselor one a week. She works four other days at another school. I couldn't get a chance to talk with the counselor last year and she was full time that is how needy this school is. SO, imagine working one day a week at this school. It really makes me sick how our children get screwed!!!!! We, have people making zillions of dollars to play sports and to make movies and to "run" the country and get free health care and on and on but no money for schools! Isn't that part of the reason they started the lotteries??? Where is the lottery money going? Shouldn't this change? People get mad at teachers for going on strike but do you know how much of their own money they put into their classrooms? I kind of think that we should have to pay for school and it would be on a sliding scale of how much families made. It would cut a lot of funding issues out and maybe then the children would get what they need. I hope this made some kind of sense this issue really gets me charged up.
I did get moved in July. Boy oh Boy!!!! was that a total nightmare! Anyway, I have been going to college two days a week and volunteering 27 hours a week at my kids school. I am mentoring kids in reading.it is so awesome,really love working with the kids. It is so cool to see them get it. Anyway, I will try to update soon. I have a major paper for my Psych class and it is due Monday. YUCK! Just wanted to say howdy. Let you all know I am still here and kicking. I have to say that I am so proud of the American People!!!! I heard that lots of us stood up and defended Duane "Dog" Chapman. I am glad to know that us Americans still care and will stand up for something...
Okay, so here, is the update ON August 3rd all charges against Dog, and his son Leland, and brother Tim were dropped. The Mexican lower court dropped the charges because they ruled that the statue of limitations had expired. However, the prosecution filed an appeal on August 1st to overturn the lower courts decision. Dog is not out the the clear yet this process is going to take months.
(personal note) I am still angry that the US administration has allowed this to happen. Mexico knew he was there he was with a federale. they knew he was going to get Andrew Luster who was convicted of 85 or 86 counts of rape. Dog Chapman and his family saved women from a monster and he is being treated like a common criminal...........
Just letting you know I finally got moved ( that was a freaking nightmare) I don't know if I wrote this in my blog but in 2004 my ex husband caused me a bunch of problems and I was evicted from my aparment and had to go to a shelter with my kids. Well, because of that eviction (which was due to domestic violence and in the state of washingtion landlords are not supposed to be able to hold it against me buttttttttttttt......... they do. however, I did find a place to live. My mom's arm healed and she is able to drive and stuff for herself. Her health that is a different story but she is still alive and kicking. I am going to be adding some new posts soon. I have alot that I have been thinking about over these last few months.

okay this a personal post i am getting ready to move and long story short and sweet there has been a lot and i mean a lot of complications with it.
